The Nan Cheney Community Room! Stop by and see the improvements!
Today would be Nan Cheney’s 80th birthday, and we’re going to celebrate by dedicating the Nan Cheney Community Room in her honor. Please stop by and help us celebrate and hear a few special songs by the Raging Grannies! Here’s the details:
Join us and the David Cheney Family, this Friday, November 12th, 5:30 to 7:30 pm as we celebrate the dedication of the Nan Cheney Community Room. This Friday’s celebration, which would have been Nan’s 80th birthday, includes a brief program that will begin at 6:15 pm, and will feature a special performance by the Raging Grannies. Don’t worry about the RSVP, just stop by for some food and drinks, enjoy the art in the Jackie Macaulay gallery and check out our new carpeting, painting, signs, community room floor and . . . finally! new tables and chairs!!! The place got a face lift thanks to donations in honor of Nan Cheney! Help us celebrate what a gem she was and honor what a great woman she was and all she did for the Social Justice Center and our community!
