Several Discussion items
– An ordinance amending sections 9.13 (6)(n)4.b and 9.13(10)(g)2. of the Madison General Ordinances to revise the method of determining vendors’ seniority.
– A resolution State Street Mall/Capitol Concourse and Vending in High Density Vending Areas” to require consecutive years of licensed vending in determining seniority for certain types of vending licenses and site assignment procedures.
– Specifying whether street vendor licensing pertains to a person or business, or both, including a food cart.
– Requiring street vendors citywide to set up their displays on paved surfaces, with the exception of the Camp Randall High Density food vending area and the Regent Street area on UW home football game days
– Waiting lists will be established once any category of street vending is filled to capacity
– The practice of food carts abandoning the sales of their regular weekday food items to change menu items and signage to sell smoothies/juice/other drinks on the outer Square on Saturdays during Dane County Farmers Market season.
