Shelter is FULL.

It’s not a surprise, but the homeless shelter for families is full. And so is the over-flow Warming Shelter. Check out the numbers.

In the last 19 days . . .
– The over-flow shelter has had 3 – 7 families in it per night
– The over-flow shelter has had 9 – 19 individuals stay per night
– There were only 5 nights it was not at or over capacity, 74% of the time it was at or over capacity.

Warming House numbers update (reminder: we are funded and best-able to serve 14-16 people; we are trying our best to help as many people as possible)

4/23 19 people (6 families)
4/24 17 people (5 families)
4/25 16 people (5 families)
4/26 18 people (6 families) *denied 1 family (1A1C); they arrived very late and reported they had another place they could sleep- we helped them get there in a cab
4/27 18 people (7 families)
4/28 16 people (7 families)
4/29 12 people (5 families)
4/30 13 people (5 families)
5/1 16 people (4 families)
5/2 18 people (5 families)
5/3 9 people (3 families)
5/4 15 people (5 families)
5/5 16 people (6 families)
5/6 9 people (3 families)
5/7 13 people (5 families)
5/8 15 people (5 families)
5/9 13 people (5 families)
5/10 13 people (5 families)

I don’t have new numbers on their waiting list at the moment, but there is no place to go, no wonder families are just moving into homes.
