Progressive Dane to Discuss Achievement Gap

I’m guessing this discussion may be a little different than others, but we’ll see.

Progressive Dane’s General Membership Meeting will be hosted by Student Progressive Dane on the UW-Madison Campus on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
The Memorial Union has placed us in Humanities 2121, 455 N Park Street. This is on or near several bus routes, there are plenty of bike racks, and there is parking in the Lake Street ramp, Grainger Hall, and Fluno Center.

This month’s primary discussion will be centered around Dan Nerad’s plan to close the achievement gap in the Madison Metropolitan School District.

Progressive Dane has been working on solutions for bridging the achievement gap for some time.  It is nice the rest of the city is looking at this now, but is there the will to really make change within the administration?  How does Dan Nerad’s retirement impact what is happening right now?  What happening with the implementation of the Strategic Plan developed a few years back?

Interested individuals, regardless of membership status, are encouraged to come and participate in the discussion.

Anyone with questions or special needs should contact the Progressive Dane office at 608-358-2940 or office@prodane.org.
