Mo’ Freakin’ Meetings

Seriously. If the mayor wants to pitch a fit about something not being in legistar (its not our fault he couldn’t figure out it was in there), then why isn’t he freakin’ out about the late notice for these meetings? Not just one item on an agenda, but entire meetings being noticed late! Hmmmmmm . . . .

  1. I just find him to be disingenuous and manipulative in his outbursts, they feel as if they have agendas that have nothing to do with the audience at hand. I re watched the city council meeting the other night. Alder Marsha Rummel brought out his mixed messages to the homeless that made me deduce from the 2008 LA Times article that stated his view of the homeless that he set them up to get the behaviors he wanted to exploit. You see, if the same people are continuously being taken by ambulance to detox over and over within 2 months; they can be committed as a danger to themselves. I used to work with clients who were committed for those repeating behaviors. And now, under Walker, only the criminally insane are held at Mendota; the others go further north and Soglin could easily get them out of his “Utopia” . After watching the city council meeting again, I think he fears that the HOUSING FIRST INTERVENTION could fail and he wants to blame why ahead of time so he won’t get blamed. Also, I re listened to his response to Alder Rummel’s comments and I realized he is the most sophisticated person at ignoring the point that I have ever heard. I still want him as mayor over the former mayor.
