Recently, Capital Newspapers announce that they had cut 26 more jobs.
Which is surprising since you would think that their union busting and massive support for ACT 10. Would have sparked an Wisconsin economy that would led to increasing employment at the Newspaper not decreasing it.
I guess, since Scott Walker’s(who the Wisconsin State Journal endorsed) budget passed, the Wisconsin economy has lagged behind the rest of the nations.
Couple that with the fact that, while the Wisconsin State Journal decided to focus on witch hunts of a handful of teachers (out of tens of thousands) who received fake sick notes, and punishing employees who signed the recall petition other papers in the state were engaged in actual journalism, did not lead to very profitable times for the Wisconsin State Journal.
This series of really bad decisions has now cost 26 Wisconsinites their jobs, the laid off workers can take solace though, in the fact that, the people making these really bad decisions received a nice cash bonus and a huge stock bonus!
I wonder what kind of bonus Smalley and Milfred got?
Maybe Scott Walker was NOT best for jobs in race for Governor after all!
The State Journal also endorsed Joe Parisi so I suppose he shares the blame for the layoffs?
They really went out on a limb with that endorsement!
