Didn't blog at all yesterday . . . too much to do, too little time. So double round up! LOCAL NEWS BLOGGITY-BLOG...

This has been bugging me for a while, my (kinda) open records request was also denied, but the real issue is that the business community has a member on the committee, but the neighborhoods don't. And I think they are in violation of the open meetings law. Thanks to Joe Tarr for his article and reminding me to look into this again. I'll share the little info I do have.

Plenty of county meetings this week, 1 oddly blank agenda.

Also short, no meetings on Thursday.

Ok, I think this is needed, but yikes, I don't know who would be a good person for this job - they'd have to be completely and totally politically tone deaf and yet quick on their feet to avoid the political nightmare this could become.

County Board subcommittee has been meeting for months already!

21 (or 23?) meetings this week that we know of, more will likely get added. Some of them at such popular times at 2pm (parks and open space plan), 11am (Multicultural Affairs), 8am, 12:30, 2:30 (Early Childhood Care and Education), and noon (Surveillance Committee). Who has time to show up at those odd hours?

Need good judge in place in case the heat comes round and busts you! :) Good news! Everett Mitchell is running for judge in Dane County!
