Who’s the Most Popular Alder?

Based on last nights elections results for uncontested alders . . . these alders are most to least popular in their districts.

Sorry, just a little election geekiness with so little to comment on . . .
– Maurice Cheeks (83.8%, 2864 votes) wiped the floor with Steve Fitzsimmons (16.1%, 549 votes)
– Jose Rea got 21.9% (286 votes) against Sheri Carter’s 78% (1017 votes).
– Zach Wood got 74.2% (454 votes) and John Terry got 24.8% (152 votes).
– Handowski (39.6%. 745 votes) didn’t come very close to beating Barbara McKinney (60.2%, 1133 votes) but it was the closest of the contested incumbents.

And the new alder, Arvina Martin got 59.9% (2112 votes) of the vote against Bradley Campbell (39.9%, 1407 votes)

Now, for those uncontested alders!!! The percent of people who voted for them and the total votes they got. The missing percentages are the numbers of write-ins people got against them.

98.7% Mike Verveer (1470) – 20 write-ins
98.4% Shiva Bidar (1820 – 30 write-ins), Densie DeMarb (1634 – 26 write-ins) & Rebecca Kemble (1647 – 26 write-ins)
98.3% Ledell Zellers (1948) – 34 write-ins
98.2% Steve King (1144 – 21 write-ins), Samba Baldeh (1179 – 22 write-ins) & Matt Phair (1597 – 29 write-ins)
98% Mark Clear (2288 – 47 write-ins)
97.9% Marsha Rummel (3239 – 70 write-ins)
97.7% Paul Skidmore (1596 – 21 write-ins)
97.4% Amanda Hall (1469) – 39 write-ins
97.1% Larry Palm (1669 – 41 write-ins)
96.8% Sara Eskrich (2453 – 81 write-ins)
95.9% David Ahrens (1537 – 66 write-ins)

I get it, I don’t vote for uncontested people unless I actually support them. Seems like I had more undervotes than usual this time . . . usually its just the judges . . . somehow Joe Parisi only had 833 undervotes and is more popular than Mike Verveer at 98.9% of the voters voting for him . . . boo.
