The (This Doesn’t Look Right) Week Ahead

I suspect, there are some things missing here . . . I’ll try to remember to update it.

This is the only meeting legally noticed . . .

RTA Appointments
Strangest explanation for appointing someone outside the city. This appoinment won’t be voted on until the 19th.

* MIRENDA A. BURKE, 9105 Silverstone Lane, Verona, 53593 – appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Burke is a Project Manager at Insight. She succeeds Erika H. Braunginn.
TERM EXPIRES: 4-19-2011

Rationale: The Equal Opportunities Commission hears complaints against employers, housing providers and places of public accommodations in the City of Madison, however many of the complainants live outside of the city. As someone who works in Madison yet lives outside of the city, Ms. Burke will bring an important perspective on these issues to the Commission.

Really?
