The Legislature has really Destroyed me this week

I keep trying to pay attention and find out if the tenant laws are changing and I guess I’m going to be on pins and needles again all day . . . and all night . . . again . . .

Rebecca Kemble has been one way for me to keep up, following her tweets and her blog posts. If you want to know what they are up to, here’s her blog posts

Part 1 – 2/15 10am – 3 pm
Part 2 – 3/15 3 pm – 7 pm
Part 3 – 3/15 7 pm – 11:30
Caucus 11:30 – 3 am

As far as I can tell – this shit makes no sense to me – they still have over 35 bills left to go and there are over 70 amendments on MATC.

What we have here, is heroic efforts for a filibuster. The Assembly Dems are giving it their all.

My item is second to last – SB466 – the Robin Vos slumlord bill. So, I guess I will be trying to pay attention all day again.

As a side note . . .

I just heard them make a motion that the the speaker and minority leader had to buy breakfast for everyone. The chair ruled it out of order. They appealed the ruling of the chair and overruled him, 19 – 68. The minority leader and the speaker are now getting everyone breakfast.

It’s getting testy. The chair is voting without letting people speak. And they are refusing to let them have 5 informal minutes.
