TWO EVENTS
That’s right, the Tenant Resource Center is turning 30! And we’re celebrating with a bash . . .or two!

Thursday, October 21, 9 – close
TRC ROCKS!
High Noon Saloon (701 E Washington Ave)
Featuring The Choons, Electric Spanking and The People Brothers Band
$5 cover, additional donations appreciated

Friday, October 22, 5 – 7:30
TRC 30th Anniversary Bash
Also at the High Noon Saloon (701 E Washington Ave)
Free food, cash bar,watch for details on raffle, silent auction

If you sign up as a TRC sustaining donor, you can help us keep going strong for another 30 years and you will automatically be listed as a sponsor for our upcoming events. Details are here. You can choose how much you donate per month!

WHO TRC HELPS

~ 4,159 individuals received housing counseling in 2009
~ 171,754 individuals visited TRC’s website in 2009
~ 7,052 individuals received assistance at the Housing Help Desk in 2009
~ 918 individuals, including landlords and tenants, solved their rental disputes as a result of TRC’s mediation services in 2009
~ 1,781 families and individuals requested financial assistance totaling $1,298,833, but we only had $30,000 to give out in small grants.

FUNDING THE TENANT RESOURCE CENTER
TRC is funded by Dane County Human Services, the City of Madison, HUD, the State of Wisconsin and Community Shares of Wisconsin. Other sources of funding are derived from statewide seminars, publication sales, and generous donations. While this year is going well, when the stimulus money goes away next year we will be struggling again, so we are trying to raise $30,0000 for year 30! Plus, we are actively seeking grant funding to keep our Milwaukee office open and are very excited about the opportunities to grow in that community!
