Temp Job to Help End Chronic and Veteran Homelessness?

Registry Week Coordinator Needed:

The Mayor has committed the City to join with the Zero: 2016 Campaign to End Veteran Homelessness by the end of 2015 and End Chronic Homelessness by the end of 2016. A part of this process we will determine our Take-Down Target: this is the number of veteran and chronic homeless single adults we need to house in order to get to zero.

The local Zero: 2016 Workgroup is looking to hire a short-term Registry Week Coordinator. Registry Week is when trained volunteers interview homeless sheltered and unsheltered persons in an effort to collect demographic data, as well as assess a homeless person’s vulnerability. This information is used to created a prioritized list of homeless persons in need who are then connected to housing and services.

Attached you will find a job description and instructions on how to apply. Feel free to circulate this email widely.

Applications are due on Friday March 6th. The successful applicant will be an employee of Porchlight; supervision will be shared with the City of Madison Community Development Division staff.
