Random Thoughts….

I went to the District 48 candidate forum at Talula tonight. I arrived late and was only able to see the last half hour so I wont go in to too much detail but I did have some thoughts.

* Everyone there(including the audience which was a packed house) are better than 505 of the current assembly.

* I endorsed Vicky Selkowe already, but I really think she gave the best final answer by covering most of the issues that are important to the people of WI.

* Every candidate stressed that they are comfortable with using social networking(times are changing)

* I like Andy Heidt and many of my fellow bloggers on this very site have endorsed him, but I think he had a little bit of a cheap shot in his closing remarks when he said that “all of my opponents have said they will change the way things happen at the Capitol but they have all been there and nothing has changed”. Saying basically that he is the one that will make things happen there. In all due respect, there is no bargaining, negotiating or working with the players in fitzwalkerstan. When is the last time a democratic amendment even recieved ONE republican vote?

* Dave De Felice SANG his closing remarks. Seriously!

* Finally, Dave De Felice grabbed his guitar and SANG his closing remarks. I am not kidding.

* One last thing, could whoever loses this race please move to Steve Nass’s district and run again please? Thank you!

  1. Ok Kyle i will give you that, although thats not how I took it at the time. I also probably should have put while I felt it was a little bit of a cheap shot it was warranted since there are a few candidates very close (in my view) in terms of credentials etc… that you need to set yourself apart from them in whatever way you can.

I was trying to make the point that Jesus himself could not work with this group of Republicans, heck they would shun Ron Reagan.
