Public Hearing Tonight to Raise Bus Fares

Monthly bus passes going up from $58.00 to $67.50. I can park in my local parking ramp for a month at night cheaper than that.

On Wednesday, May 11, Metro Transit and the City of Madison Transit and Parking Commission will hold a public hearing at 6 PM to discuss proposed increases to some Metro fare items.

Commute Card Rate – $1.25 – $1.40
Pass Program Rate* – $1.15 – $1.35

*Pass Programs Include: Edgewood College, Madison College, City of Madison, Meriter Hospital, Dane County, St. Marys Hospital, UW ASM Students, and UW Employees.
