POTUS visit: Extra Metro Buses tonight; accessible entrance WILL close 15 minutes earlier

Good news from Metro – from an email:

…we are going to have extra buses on the street after the presidential visit. Our regular service will be operating and on top of that, we will have additional buses to be dispatched to each of the transfer points post-event. The westbound/southbound buses will pick up on University Ave at East Campus Mall, while the eastbound/northbound buses will pick up on Johnson St at Park St.

The unknown here is the traffic snarls after the event, and how police will be directing the traffic.

Thanks in advance for your patience!

Also, from a Tweet by UW Communications:

One note to #Obama event details today: Lake/Langdon accessible gate will close completely at 4:15 p.m. Change from 4:30. Visit wisc.edu

However, the UW Website with event information still says 4:30, so this may still be developing. CONFIRMED @ 11:43: Accessible entrance at Lake/Landgon will close at 4:15, not 4:30 as earlier scheduled. After 4:15, everyone will use the Park St entrance.
