Input on Madison Economic Development Plan

I’m not sure what I think of the format, but you should go and give the input.

The Madison Economic Development Division is hosting an economic development strategy community meeting to discuss draft ideas from the City’s “Connect Madison Economic Development Strategy.”

Madison Economic Development Strategy Public Meeting
Monday June 15 6:30-8:30pm
Warner Park Community Center, 1625 Nortport Drve

The session will consist of a brief overview of the strategy followed by free-roaming break-out discussions and “priority marketplace” exercise. When you check in, you will get 10 “priority bucks.” During this breakout period, you will have the opportunity to walk around the room, share and discuss ideas, and spend your priority bucks among the draft set of 8 goals in the Connect Madison Strategy.

You’ll have 10 bucks to spend among 8 goals. You can spend all of your cash on one goal or distribute it as you see fit among multiple goals based on what you think is most important. This will be a fun activity but the results will also be very helpful as we sharpen our focus to set priorities for implementation.

You can find a link to download a draft interim report that outlines a draft set of 8 broad goals online.
