Grinch Award.

To Dane County . . . check out this wonderful work.

This is a recent facebook post by Ed Kuharski from Monday . . . but I thought it should be shared.

I went to the Top of the (Dane County) World, early this morning, seeking the elusive Porta Potty. Urban legend or Ripley’s Believe It or Not? Here is unaltered photographic evidence that Joe Parisi is a great Dane County Humanitarian in the tradition of Saint Lynn Green and Mother Melissa. (More photos later.)

Note: If you drive or bike or wheelchair up the ramp to Level 7 (aka Homeless Seventh Heaven), it is only one half mile from the Fairchild entrance at Level 2. If you walk up the stairs (no elevator-this ramp isn’t for wimps or those pathetic disabled people) from the corner of Doty & Henry, it is a short 74 steps and 5 storeys to blessed relief. BTW, the interior of this beauty is in PRISTINE condition – almost like it had never been used. Believe It or Not!

On the bright side, the resolution that was to create showers, lockers and restrooms, actaully turned into the winter warming shelter. But, um, there still are no permanent restrooms, lockers or showers. There are no showers at the warming center. There are some lockers and of course, restrooms, but they are only open 8 – 4:30, luckily daily.
