Chad Vader, the younger and less successful brother of Darth, appears in a new online video meant to educate voters on the County’s new vote tabulation system.

Media outlets are encouraged to help educate their readers and viewers on the new election machines by sharing the video through websites and social media channels.
The video stars Aaron Yonda and Matt Sloan of Blame Society Productions and the creative force behind Chad Vader, along with Dane County Clerk Scott McDonell.
Voters will now fill in ovals next to the name of the candidate for whom they wish to vote, instead of completing an arrow as on the old ballots.
Additionally, the tabulators will immediately inform voters whether their ballots are valid. If so, the screen on the tabulator will display the words, “Thank you for voting!” If not, the screen will display an appropriate message about a problem with the ballot, which can immediately be resolved.
The machines will also take a digital photo of each ballot for verification purposes, if necessary.
