Friday Morning Round Up

Here’s what I had time for today. Sorry its late, despite the flu, I went to my board meeting last night and didn’t get home til 10:00 and then overslept this morning . . .

MADISON GETTING ITS BUTT KICKED
By Greenville and Asheville, NC. Go vote for Madison for Google Fiber on this site, you can vote once a day.

OUR COPS HAVE TIME FOR THIS?
Seriously? We needed 30 extra cops so they could do this?

EDGEWATER “HURDLES”
At this point, the biggest hurdle seems to be the Hammes Company . . . waiting . . . waiting . . . I thought we were in a hurry and everything had to be pushed through quickly and now we sit and wait for Hammes.

ROB’S LINKS
Wow, someone had too much time on their hands for the first one and on the second one, not recommended to try this at home.
Cool
Way Cool

RUN DOWN ON WHERE SCHOOL BUDGET IS AT
This might be quick and sloppy, but its a great reference tool! More of a round up. Thanks TJ!

THIS CRACKED ME UP
Too funny. Great explanation, I feel like I was there.

SOUTHWORTH! AGAIN.
I’m so sick of this jerk. I usually don’t name call, but what else do you call this bully?

COMPUTERS AND LIBRARIES
Next time you hear its ok to just do things on line because low income people have access through the library, think of this article.

SURE, YOU CAN BUILD YOUR BUILDING AND LEAVE IT STAND FOR 20 YEARS
And then . . .

TOO BAD EAGON DOESN’T USE THE SAME STANDARDS WITH THE EDGEWATER
I happen to think he’s right about the campus building, but funny how you have a different opinion when it impacts your district. Something for alders to keep in mind.

BADGER HERALD BOARD WANTS TO GIVE MONEY TO TRC?
Is that only because they think the UW administration will never agree to do it?

I HOPE THERE IS NOT LOOPHOLE
I hope this passes and it applies at the city. Notice, all the people in the article are women. Hmmm . . .

LOVE IT WHEN I AGREE WITH BORCHARDT
🙂 We may be as far apart on the political spectrum as you can get, but we know that integrity and ethics matter. I miss that ethic on the council and being able to trust that it is a bottom line to everything. It makes me sad to see where we have slid to on ethics and I worry about what is next.

Ok – gotta get to work . . .
