Following Up on Alder Candidate Reporting

So, I thought I should follow up since there were some errors on the clerk’s website when I originally posted on the alder candidate reporting. Let’s look at who really filed late. Hopefully next time there is reporting, we get reports, or someone with tons of time on her hands might have to file a complaint . . .

WHEN ARE REPORTS DUE
Reports for July 1 – December 31 2018 were due on January 15th.

Spring Pre-Primary Reports will be due on February 11. That reporting period will be from January 1 – February 4. Only candidates that have a primary will have to file a report.

For those without primaries their will report January 1 – March on March 25th.

This with primaries will also report on March 25th, but they will be reporting on Feb 5 – March 18.

Then, we won’t really know what happened until July 15th when the reports from March 18 – the end of the campaign. Technically they report on all funds raised and spent through June 30th. Then there are no more reports due until January 15th of 2020.

ERROR IN ALDER REPORTING
I first posted here about what the campaign finance reports said and who had raised the most money. There were several missing from the clerks website at the time. Turns out that Jared Schumacker, Zachary Henak, Sarah Eskrich and Samba Baldeh also sent in their cards. However, they still are not on the clerk’s site. They said there may be others that got misplaced elsewhere.

LATE REPORTS
Ok – looking at all the candidates who will be on the ballot in the spring . . . this is who it looks like didn’t file their reports

District 1 – Barbara McKinney
District 3 – Mike Cerro
District 7 – Badri Lankella & Donna Hurd
District 9 – Paul Skidmore
District 12 – Lydia Mauer, James Stansfield & Mark-Anthony Whitaker
District 13 – Tag Evers, Justin Kirchen & Lee Lazar
District 17 – James Creighton Mitchell, Jr.
District 20 – Erica Janisch

That’s a lot of candidates to have not filed their reports . . . I suspect some may be in and floating around the clerk’s office – like the 4 that I missed in my first post.
