The 2009 Room Tax numbers are in:

Reported 4th quarter taxes were $1,730,574, down about $210,000, or 10.85%, when compared to the same quarter of 2008. Total 2009 Room Tax collections of $7,516,154 were down $1,182,000, or 13.59%, for the year as a whole. This annual total was close to mid-year projections but $1,576,000 below the $9,092,000 originally budgeted for 2009.

Looking ahead, annual Room Tax revenues will need to increase by approximately 2% to meet the $7,661,000 level budgeted for calendar year 2010.
