Current Plan to Fininsh TIF Policy

Thanks to Chris Schmidt for shedding some light on the process and trying to make it more transparent.

He sent me an email indicating the following:

– The rest of the meetings will have ample notice and dates have been selected (not in Legistar yet, AFAIK, but will be soon).
– The Nov 8 meeting agenda did note what we would be discussing, I forgot to have that put on the Nov 15 agenda (my apologies; we will start at the 50% rule).
– If we don’t finish going through the comparison matrix on the 15th, we’ll meet on Nov 25 @1pm. If we do finish the matrix on Friday (which implies finishing the draft of the Policy document) we will likely cancel the Nov 25 meeting.
– The next meeting after that is Dec 9 at 1pm and we expect to have the second drafts back from staff based on the work done on the two documents we’ve created.
– Then there are two more meetings, Dec 17 (evening, might be later than 5pm) and Dec 20 at 1pm, to wrap-up as needed.
– The future agendas will have notes explaining what we expect to be doing at the meetings, though any topic in the policy can be addressed if the need arises.

Doesn’t really solve the problem of the meetings being in the middle of a work day, doubt I will be able to attend any. Hope someone else can. I will try. I’m sure the lobbyists won’t have any issues since this is what they get paid to do.

Also.

Your housing handout is in Legistar, albeit not plainly obvious. It is in the file of registrations from the October 3 meeting: https://madison.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=2645051&GUID=7BC82831-B5F6-4077-B682-79783D327CE4
It is at the end of that file. That file is #21 of the attachments.

Much appreciated that he tried to let me know what is going on and will try to let the public know in a more obvious way.
