Get done with work at 5:00, you’ll make it to exactly 4 of 23 (17%) meetings on time . . . we are going backwards with this. I guess equity means nothing, and their report is hogwash. Yeah, I said hogwash. They seem to be trending the wrong way . . . Let’s pretend you can make it to a 4:30 meeting, sill would miss 7 of 23 meetings, 30%. Notice, when a neighborhood schedules a meeting, they are usually at 6:00 (See University Hill Farms)

– Authorizing the Madison Police Department to apply for and accept a FY2014 COPS Hiring grant of $375,000 for the purpose of hiring three police officers for a new Community Policing Outreach Unit to reduce arrest racial disparity and improve trust and perception of fairness through procedural justice, community outreach and problem solving, especially involving youth of color (Hmmm, when the council tried to tell them to do this, we were told to take a hike . . . now its a good idea . . . hmmmmm)
– Authorizing the Madison Police Department to apply for and accept a FY2014 COPS Community Policing Development grant of $100,000 for the purpose of enhancing community policing outreach through expanded youth programming and hiring a civilian community resources coordinator to reduce arrest racial disparity and improve trust and perception of fairness through partnerships, organizational transformation and problem solving (And I hope this means that they might take a long hard look at the way they treat rentals and landlords and their policies that help evict people, but I doubt it.)
Establishing rules and procedures for Common Council deliberations on the City of Madison’s 2015 Capital and Operating Budgets.
Resolution changing the calculation formula used for Madison Water Utility’s Payment In Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) for 2015 and beyond (Citywide).
Discussion of convenience fees for online payments.
