So, there are many changes afoot at the Tenant Resource Center. Sadly, our once seamless services are about to get messy due to our many small contracts. In summary, here is what changes January 1st.
WHO WE CAN SERVE

Mediation
- City of Madison Residents
- Dane County residents (through June 2016)
In limited cases we can help people in Dane County (outside of Madison) if . .
- a) they are homeless or at risk of homelessness AND
- b) they need services in Spanish or Hmoob OR
- c) they need case rapid-rehousing services (homeless or chronically homeless with VISPDAT score below 10)
Everyone else, refer to CAC/Homeless Hotline/Housing Reference Desk (855) 510-2323. CAC’s contract with the county says they only serve persons who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness, but CAC has repeatedly assured us that they will take all the other calls and not refer them back to us.
OTHER SERVICES
The weekly housing lists will be done by CAC and available here and here.
The Housing Help Desk will be open through December 30th. Closed on Dec. 24, 25 and 31. The final days we will be packing and it may be a bit chaotic, but we can still help folks who stop by. The services should resume with CAC on January 4.
The Housing Crisis Fund will be discontinued (earnest money/application fees, eviction prevention dollars, misc costs for housing entry.)
The Security Deposit Loan Fund is for homeless persons or City of Madison residents only.
