I’m a little unhappy right now . . . I’m tired of the “emergencies” created by “the system”.
Just got tagged in this message from Meg . . .
3 babies (2, 1, infant) and their mom were not accepted at the shelter tonight. They have no place to go an need to leave the day center at 4:30 when it closes. Can anyone help? Call me at 608-354-7622 if you have a safe place tonight. Many many thanks. Tagging some but this is a call out to everyone.
I swear yesterday they said that fmailies would be accepted in cold weather. I was really angry and then I realized what was going on . . . its not going to be cold enough tonight. These rules only apply if it is less than 20 degrees. Tonight it is only a low of 26degrees so I guess the kids can survive ok in that weather?
I dunno, what I can I say, its all so absurd!
I emailed everyone at the city and county I could think of, I suggest you do so too!

These are department and division heads, contract administrators, elected officials and their staff.
Also . . . So, this will be discussed tomorrow night at 5:00 at the CDBG committee at the city – perhaps we need to tell them that 20 degrees is not good enough . . . room 260 at Municpal Bulding (215 MLK). They will be giving Salvation Army another $10,00 to take people in when it is less than 20 degrees.

Problem solved via facebook in 47 minutes . . . well, solved for this family, for tonight. Tomorrow, who knows. Thanks Madison for being the caring community I know we can be! Now, if our elected officials would only follow . .. .
