Bethel Lutheran Church Development

Neighbors might be interested in this. I am, but mostly because I want to know if they will be adding sufficient facilities for their homeless program, since it doesn’t seem we will ever get a homeless day center.

MANSION HILL NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING
BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH DEVELOPMENT
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2014 – 7:00 P.M.
MADISON AREA TECHNICAL COLLEGE, ROOM D240 – 211 N. CARROLL STREET

Please join us for a neighborhood meeting to discuss a proposal by Bethel Lutheran Church to relocate an historic house currently located on church property in a parking lot adjacent to the existing church. The Steensland House is a Queen Anne-style house, a Madison landmark and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The house is proposed to be moved from its current location at 315 N. Carroll Street to a new location on the same block facing W. Gorham Street, directly adjacent to the church sanctuary. The relocation of the house would preserve a contributing structure in the Mansion Hill Historic District and would allow Bethel Lutheran Church to continue their long-term building expansion planning efforts.

We look forward to seeing you on the 1st.
