And the answer is . . . .

Police Chief Noble Wray promised to tell us what the 30 officers were going to be doing the day after we voted for them last November. We waited . . . and we waited . . . and we waited . . . however, this week the waiting is allegedly over! It only took 9 months after we obliterated our operating budget and blindly voted for 30 new officers so people would feel good . . . despite the fact that we didn’t have the police study that would tell us how many officers we needed . . . finally, tomorrow we have this agenda! (Emailed to alders yesterday, not available to the public as far as I know.)

I hope what he has to say was worth the wait! But why did it take him 9 months to tell us what these officers would do? Did he not know?
