Opposing Governor Walker’s proposed 2015-2017 budget reductions to the University of Wisconsin System and calling upon members of the Dane County delegation in the State Assembly and State Senate to protect the University of Wisconsin.
Supporting the Madison Metropolitan School District referendum to address facility needs on April 7, 2015 and encouraging residents to vote “yes”.
Directing the City Treasurer to vote shares of MGE stock held by the City of Madison in support of two stockholder resolutions to spur use of renewable energy and reduce carbon-based fuels.
Directing City staff to assess the suitability of and identify financing for the City to purchase the property located at 910 Ann Street to Land Bank for future redevelopment opportunities and, if determined to be suitable and funding sources are identified, authorizing the initiation of negotiations to purchase the property. (There’s supposed to be a substitute for this, but I haven’t seen it.)
Authorizing the Mayor to issue a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for a full-service affordable grocery store located south of the Verona Road and Beltline Highway interchange with up to $300,000 of financing assistance from the City of Madison in the form of a low-interest and/or forgivable loan.
Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to amend the contracts with Vandewalle & Associates and The Hiebing Group for consultation services to implement the East Washington Avenue Capitol Gateway Corridor Plan and related projects within the Capitol East District (“District”), and authorizing the DPCED Director to hire additional outside consultant(s) to complete District-related work, with a
recognition that all of the aforementioned contracts and contract amendments shall not exceed $100,000 and are approved through December 31, 2015.
