24 Amendments to the Mayor’s Budget

Here’s the highlights . . .

CAPITAL
Library
– Schumacher, Sanborn, Skidmore want to add language to Central Library “The City will not enter into binding development and construction agreements for this project until commitments for tax credit financing and $4,000,000 of private fundraising have been secured.”

– Verveer, Bidar-Sielaff, Rhodes-Conway, Rummel, Solomon add language to Central Library that says “In their evaluation, development and deisgn of the new Central Libary, City staff is directed to study and consider the feasibility of inclusind either a rooftop intensive community garden and/or a green roof.”

Capital Square Improvements
Sanborn, Pham-Remmele and Schumacher – cut funding that Board of Estimates added.

Central Park

Parks
– Sanborn, Pham-Remmele and Compton cut funding for Olive Jones, Brittingham and Reynolds Field improvements

– Maniaci, Rummel and Verveer add $1.2M for James Madison Park.

[Guilt money for Lisa Link Peace Park?  It’s not enough!  What kind of a program would $50,000 cover, that’s barely 1 poorly paid staff person.]
