Given the new perspective I have gotten working on the ground with homeless persons in the last few years, I don’t even know where to begin with the list of things I am grateful for – because just the smallest things we all take for granted – like being able to change out of wet socks when I step in a puddle and then warm up – have all taken on new meaning. And with the recent Race to Equity report, I’ve relearned what a privilege it is to be white in this community. So I can’t really make that list, but here is one good example of what I am thankful for, for so many reasons.

Sorry – light blogging week – busy with work. SB179 is currently kicking my ass. Nothing but work – tons of blogging to be done, but it will have to wait. Will resume on Monday as long as it stays rainy and cold this weekend I can get in an extra 20 hours of work.
Tuesday night the Wisconsin Senate passed SB 179, the third piece of legislation in two years to drastically alter tenant landlord law. This law removes over 20 Madison ordinances and changes over 20 statewide laws, resulting in over 75 law changes since 2011 Wisconsin Act 108. Here is a summary of some of the areas of the law that will be impacted:
