At 5am this morning, I found out about 9 amendments to AB183 that the Assembly will be voting on today at 1:00 or at some time after that. Guess I better quick figure out what these amendments do . . . .

It’s not just me pointing out that the republicans, led by Scott Walker, want to privatize(and profit from) public education. Let’s take a look: 1. Bruce Murphy from Urban Milwaukee: The word was out last year that Republican Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald intended to retire and make the big money working as a lobbyist. Two [...]

Thank Congressman Mark Pocan for being the sixth Congressman to sign on as a co-sponsor.
Late yesterday afternoon we learned of the newest attack on tenant rights. Check out the long list of things they will be changing if successful.
…it’s…well you know the rest. I’d just like to expand a little bit on my quote in this CapTimes article about Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s (DPW) Chairperson Mike Tate: Wisconsin Democrats expected to stand by their man “(A)t what point does Tate get held accountable for his losses,” asked Lukas Diaz, a local progressive activist [...]
