We have brought you the story before that the current round of “education reform” is a myth, that its just a ruse to try and privatize education so certain people can get their hands on our education money! We all know that Scott Walker in his latest budget wants to vastly increase taxpayer money going [...]

Workers at Palermo Pizza in Milwaukee have been on strike since last week to protest working conditions and to demand recognition for their union. And I think they deserve recognition for their union, to be treated fairly, and for management to sit down and negotiate with them. Do you? You can sign a petition here [...]

With this being a leap-year, and the great day fast approaching, I hereby declare February 29th as “Complain about alternative transportation day.” So how about it? You’ve got a whole extra day this year. Why not spend 20 minutes of it harshing your elected officials about how hard it is for you to walk, [...]

The results were in this summer with the democrats flipping two seats in the Senate recalls. While the republicans lost two seats, they still maintained a slight 17-16 majority. Thus both sides declared “victory”. In case your scoring at home and want to see who won exactly( FYI – it was the people of Wisconsin) [...]

I received this in my email today and wanted to share it for a couple of reasons. The first is do not get too down or too up, whatever finally happens in the Kloppenburg race. Secondly, Cottage Grove got a mention, and I take some pride in that! Because of our protesting, calling, writing, knocking [...]

I was recently given the opportunity to sit down with AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. Mr. Trumka was very cordial and positive and had plenty to say about the state of the union and what started in Madison and has blossomed throughout the country and the world. Mr. Trumka gladly took all of our questions and [...]

Having spent lots and lots of time at the Capitol, many of the great speakers there keep mentioning recall. Not only of Scott Walker, but also of the republican Senators like Alberta Darling and Luther Olsen among others. While I agree with that, I think people are overlooking somewhere they can make a major impact. [...]

Governor Walker came out last week with a union busting bill – Lots more information here. A couple of things have been overlooked in the reporting of this story. One thing here: We know that Walker is trying to bait us by mobilizing the National Guard, hiring an Ohio security firm to staff any facility [...]
