Referendum for Large City Projects

Posted July 27th, 2015 @ 8:00 AM by

The city usually borrows for projects with 10 year payback periods, but they are looking at doing some projects with 20 year payback periods. When they do that there is a different process and a chance for referendum. Wonder if they will give us that opportunity for Judge Doyle Square?

Parisi’s Office Sabotages New Potential Day Center Location

Posted July 23rd, 2015 @ 7:58 AM by

I was furious yesterday afternoon when I found out that the first words out of Josh Wescott’s mouth (Joe Parisi’s press guy) to the reporter was the location of the potential site. Everyone was keeping it top secret, the only reason to reveal it is to sabotage it. That’s just shitty. Way to throw people under the bus.

Heads Up! More Ordinances Coming to Address the Homeless?!

I’m wondering if they will let the advocates participate? We all know that better solutions are arrived at when opposing parties work together to come up with solutions that are acceptable to both parties. But I doubt we will be invited to the table. It would be an awesome discussion if allowed.

City Failure to Communicate, Stupid Result

It just gets stupider and stupider. We;ve been here before and here we go again. Stupid “solutions”, no problems solved.

What will the council talk about tonight?

Dane County’s Values?

Posted July 21st, 2015 @ 10:26 AM by

Tenants outside the City of Madison will have no where to turn come January 1. Case management is more important than helping tenants understand their rental rights and responsibilities and doing mediations at eviction court? Tough budget choices. Does this reflect Dane County’s Values? Does it reflect yours?
