Elizabeth Coppola In the 21st!

Our public schools depend on it

Broken deals, petulant behavior, single-minded focus on an extreme social agenda at the expense of legislation to put Wisconsinites to work and move our state forward…

If you watched last night and this morning on WisconsinEye, read about it in the papers this morning, or just paid attention over the last three years, you know like I do that our state legislature is out of control and we need change right away.

While the 2014 elections are almost a year away, we do have an opportunity this weekend to take one seat back from the Republicans and start turning our state around. Elizabeth Coppola is running in the 21st District special election in a swing district that Republicans have controlled recently. She’s been running hard and bringing great energy to this race. With Election Day coming up on Tuesday, Elizabeth has put herself in position to flip this seat, but she needs our help to win.

There are three ways you can help:

1) Go to the 21st District and help knock on doors and talk our voters into going to the polls on Election Day. Tomorrow (Saturday), there will be a GOTV Kickoff event with special guest Congresswoman Gwen Moore at the UAW Hall at 7435 S Howell Avenue in Oak Creek at 9:30AM. For more information and to sign up, you can go to the event’s facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/events/556397494440171/ .

2) If you can’t get to the district, you can participate in the virtual phone bank and reach out to 21st District voters from your home. To get a login for the phone bank, go to this page and sign in. It’s easy and, again, you can help Elizabeth from your home.

3) To do the GOTV, Elizabeth still needs more funding. You can contribute to her candidate by going to the ActBlue page.

Right-wing special interests are pulling out the stops for Elizabeth’s opponent. They are desperate and will do anything to keep this district in the Republican column and a win for them means one more person to help them do more of what they did last night. Any bit you can do to help Elizabeth out can put her over the top and is very much appreciated. I hope you can help us win a big campaign this weekend.

Forward, to victory!

Michael Basford, Dane Dems Chair
