Fair warning, this is sort of a minor thing…but it bugged me so…

A lot of people consider Brett Hulsey (a candidate for the 77th Assembly District) an environmentalist. You know, I tell them that Brett Hulsey sold out the environment in favor of a coal power plan and that sort of gets their attention.

But still, people seem to think that despite his advocacy for dirty air and dirty coal power, that he’s still some sort of environmentalist. It’s the bicycle right? Why he was even walking the bicycle around in the Wisconsin Capital Pride Parade in Madison. Surely he must be an environmentalist if he brought his bicycle to a parade? I mean, right?

What if I told you that Brett Hulsey didn’t actually pedal his bicycle to that parade? What if I told you that Brett Hulsey drove to the parade and took out his bicycle and walked it around in the parade? Would that make a difference?

Well…Brett Hulsey drove that bicycle to the parade.

Sure, it’s a small thing, but Mr. Hulsey is attempting to carefully craft an image and I don’t think it rings true. And maybe this is naive on my part, but I believe in honesty and fairness. And I think that that people should be sincere when they are running for office.
